Act in Faith is a team of professional, working actors and writers dedicated to bringing God's grace, truth, and power to a hurting world.

How We Started:
" Sometime in the fall of 1999, I heard my pastor say, we should find "creative ways" to convey the gospel. I had been a professional actor for sixteen years, and suddenly I was flooded with the notion that this was the most important work I had to offer. This was where my professional life and spiritual convictions… would meet."

We started out in our own church, but soon realized that we were to make these presentations available to people outside of our own four walls. The idea was confirmed to us, after one particular drama, where we had learned that the presentation had contributed to saving three struggling marriages from the devastation of divorce. We truly believe that when prayerfully presented, these dramas can be effective, remembered, and applied to the core of people's lives.

What We Do:
We are not a typical church drama group, and our original presentations strive not to be preachy or trite, but rich and real, personal and powerful. It is a drama ministry that takes us out of the box, out of traditional church ministry efforts, to portray the often-tough realities of people's everyday lives, and the struggle as well as the power of this Christian journey of faith.

Jesus often spoke His profound truths through parables so that we may more easily conceive what is often the inconceivable. Act in Faith shares in that tradition of telling stories - through hard hitting dramas and laugh out-loud comedies -- we help till the soil, comfort the broken-hearted, and proclaim God's wonder and hope.

More About Gary Hershberger:

A veteran professional actor and writer in the Hollywood community for over twenty years, Gary has a heart for truth, and a passion for the freedom the gospel brings to people.

With dozens of film and television credits to his resume, such as The West Wing, The O.C., Six Feet Under, Sneakers, Twin Peaks, Chicago Hope, and most recently, as one of the Apollo astronauts on the Tom Hanks-produced IMAX movie Magnificent Desolation, Gary has always loved to act. Gary is also a produced screenwriter, and is planning to direct his first feature in the spring, but he considers Act in Faith to be some of the most vital and important work he does.

Gary is in active development with his latest screenplay Late in the Season, and is working on a new movie as Writer/Producer with Promenade Pictures. He has served on the Blue Ribbon Film Commission for the Angelus Awards, celebrating the best in student films and honoring the work that inspires, gives hope, and elevates the human spirit.

He keeps himself busy at home as well as on the set. Married to his wife Heather for over thirteen years, and with four children at home, they make sure he keeps his feet on the ground. He is passionate about this new blossoming ministry, and is humbled at the opportunity to use his gift for the good of the kingdom.

Kerri has a love for comedy and a passion for Christ!

Kerri Pomarolli is one of today's fastest rising stars in the Christian arena. Her lethal wit keeps audiences of all ages laughing. Kerri is a good Christian girl and not ashamed to talk about it on stage. Whether she's in churches, comedy clubs, conferences, clean comedy outreach shows, or performing with Act in Faith—the laughter never stops.

Kerri has been seen in over 25 comedy sketches with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show, as well as Comedy Central, Lifetime, ABC, and Fox, among her other film and television credits.
A recent author, Kerri is thrilled that her first book, "If I'm Waiting on God Then What I Am I Doing on the Christian Chatroom? Confessions of a Do It Yourself Single" is being published by Zondervan Publishing in late 2005.

Kerri is an actress at heart, and a member of Actor's Co-op, an award-winning Christian-based theatre company in Hollywood. Driven by a vision to give of herself and give back to her community, she came alongside Gary Hershberger's expanding drama ministry at their home church, and Act in Faith was born. The two teamed up to create a powerful ministry of genuine emotion and inspirational hope through drama, comedy, and faith. She is delighted to serve the body of Christ in her gifted ways through love, laughter, and encouragement.
