Ron
McGehee
Comedian/Writer/Actor/Speaker
Ron McGehee is the world's funniest "Half
Korean, Half Irish" comedian, yep a dime a dozen. Born in Flint,
Michigan and later raised in Orange, CA after his family succumbed
to the "Great Liquor Store Rush" of the early 80's.
He started comedy with the Orange County Crazies Improv troupe and
then moved to L.A. to pursue stand up comedy full time. He has headlined
at such venues as the World Famous Improv Comedy Clubs and The Comedy
Store. He has appeared on Funny Farm TV and was a premier performer
honored on KNBC Channel 4 News in Los Angeles for Asian-American
History Month.
McGehee was a finalist in the NBC Laugh Factory Latino/Asian-American
Comedy Showcase and in the 2002 "Orange County's Funniest
Person Contest" where he went on to win in 2003. McGehee has
also appeared on NBC's "Last Comic Standing 2" as
a finalist.
McGehee has recently appeared on The Joni Lamb Show on DayStar, JCTV,
ABC Family Channel (Living the Life), Si TV, Comedy Central, TBN
and TLN promoting his brand of innovative Clean Comedy. He recently
did warm up comedy at a live taping for Carlos Oscar's one-hour
special to be aired on a Comedy Central that will be released on
DVD by Time Warner Video. McGehee has confirmed an unnamed comedy
pilot with CBS producers to write as well as appear on the show.
Ron McGehee has made a name for himself as a favorite entertainer
in the corporate market with companies such as City of Hope, AB-FAB
Motors, Angelus Film Awards (Hollywood), Toyota, Hyundai, Ontario
Mills, Kolon International, Hanjin Shipping and many others.
McGehee does not believe in putting all his eggs in one basket. So
along with furthering his comedy career he is now a producing co-host
of "The Family Comedy Countdown", a national syndicated
radio program. He is also producing his own clean comedy show at
top venues throughout the United States.
McGehee starred and co-produced a pilot, along with is comedian wife
Kerri Pomarolli, produced by Eastgate Productions (Dog Whisperer).
The pilot, www.ilovekerri.com, demonstrates both McGehee and Pomarolli's
comedic ability to interact as they take on the task of home improvement.
As you will see, their complete lack of skills is down right comical.
When time allows the husband and wife team up touring the country
performing their unique brand of "He Said, She Said" show
where Ron tries to get in the last word.
McGehee is a favorite at national camps and festivals in the youth
market such as Spirit West Coast, Life Fest and Knotts Berry Farm
Youth Nights and Youth Specialties Convention. He tours many colleges
bringing his life lessons and hilarious multi cultural humor to campuses
nationally.
He is a board member of the non-profit organization "Breaking
Into Hollywood" helping people get started in the entertainment
business. He is also busy as a screenwriter and contributing writer
in many magazines including Brio for teens from Focus on the Family,
Battle magazine and coming in 2007 the new national magazine Hope
For Women. (He likes to show his sensitive side)
